Early Literacy Development
Enlisting and Providing Support
Questions you have with which your colleagues may be able to
provide help and support
I am going to give to my audience a
rubric to get feedback, and my question is; “Is there another way to get feedback?
Can anyone else give me more ideas?
Resources and information you are seeking
I am planning to do a power point presentation; Does anyone know where I can rent a projector to do my
power point presentation?
Resources and/or information you have found helpful and
insightful
I have been doing a lot of research
to make sure I have the information I want to pass to my audience about early
literacy development. These are good books and websites where you can find
information about early literacy development.

I think that surveys are a good way to get feedback from an audience. I think that the questions that are asked on a survey are very vital. You want to ask questions that will provoke one to think and provide honest feedback. Your audience will have to answer with more than yes or no answers.
ReplyDeleteEloisa- I love the idea of giving your audience a rubric! I wish I thought of it a little bit early but that is something to think about.
ReplyDeleteI was able to get my hand on a projector from my church, I was able to use it. You can also try the flea market which you would have to pay but I'm sure it should be reasonable, that you can keep for any other projects you may have.
Hi Eloisa, rubrics are a good idea to get feedback on your presentation; I hope the center where you will present your presentation has a projector because I have no idea where you can rent one, may be you can check in the internet or in the libraries. Early literacy is one of the most important theme for young children, I am sure you found great information about it. Believe it or not now there are too many parents who do not know the importance of early literacy, they still think like me. Twenty five years ago children needed books when they are four or five years old when they understand how to take care on them and not destroyed, but the reality is children need books from when they are in our (boom) then continue exploring even though they may get destroyed. I have three children I did make a library for them from when they were babies, but I use to read to them, now I learned that I should have let them explore more books on their own.
ReplyDeleteEloisa,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed working with you this term and sharing ideas in the discussion forums and on your blog. I feel the same way as you about literacy development in the early years. I appreciate you sharing ideas and suggestions. I hope your presentation and the final assignments for this course go well. Best of luck in your future endeavors!
